Starting in August, you won’t only find cats and kittens in books at Norwalk Easter Public Library. The library is teaming with Whiskers TNR of Warren County for a once-a-month “Caturday” in which the nonprofit will bring some of their sweetest adoptables to the building for a meet-and-greet with patrons. The first installment will be 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 20. Additional sessions are planned for Sept. 17, Oct. 22, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10. Whiskers volunteers will also have resources available if you're interested in spaying or neutering your cat, plus information about the work of Whiskers TNR. Want to donate to their cause? Kitty toys for adoption goodie bags and litter (especially the clumping or pine pellet kind) are the nonprofit's biggest wishes. “No card cat-alog needed to check out this nonfiction feline opportunity!” joked Nicole Rhodes, volunteer coordinator for Whiskers TNR.
